We recently submitted our revised site plan and architectural plan to the City of Edgewood’s Planning & Zoning Council. Once approved, we move on to the Orange County Building Department for their approval.

Approval from the City of Edgewood and Orange County.
What area of Central Florida will Boozehounds be located?
Boozehounds Dog Bar will be located on Orange Ave. in the heart of Edgewood, just 4 miles south of Downtown Orlando. It’s centrally located between SR-528 and SR-408, being easily accessible from anywhere in Central Florida.
Is there a timeline for what’s coming up?
Once we receive our building permit, we will have a better idea on the timeline for our grand opening.
What are you planning to have there?
A 2,000 sq. ft. beer & wine bar sitting on 3/4 of an acre; which will include a dog park, splash pad, agility equipment and an open deck for both humans and dogs to enjoy.
Are you using any special material?
Yes, all materials used will be eco-friendly. The artificial turf will be non-toxic, permeable, and safe for dogs. The bar structure will be constructed out of recycled shipping containers. All cleaning products used throughout the dog park will be safe and environmentally friendly. The bar and restroom facilities will also use environmentally friendly products along with recyclable materials to minimize waste.
Will your business have repurposed wood?
Yes, we are partnering with a local carpenter to create special features in the bar that are specifically created out of repurposed wood.
What struggles have you had to deal with?
The biggest challenge has been meeting the new ordinances established by the City of Edgewood. It required us to go back to the drawing board multiple times to come up with a creative solution that would work for all parties. However, we feel confident that everyone including the pups will love it!
Are there currently any delays?
It’s construction, there will always be delays. We’re just keeping our eye on the prize and taking it one day at a time.
